"Gina and Cori, as well as the constellation of supporting but equally fully realized and thoughtfully written characters, pulled me in from the first chapters. This coming-of-age story feels true and raw, and offers surprises, humor, and skillfully rendered tension on the journey to its satisfying conclusion. The various settings, from urban apartments and clubs to wide-open western vistas, are evoked in a way that feels effortless and authentic. Both protagonists are endearing but can also be frustrating in a very human way that causes you to really care about them and root for their happiness. The plot carries you along briskly – with the end of each chapter I found myself reluctant to take a break – and evenly paced throughout so that nothing feels rushed or overly drawn out. “The Playlist” is a thoroughly enjoyable read that will make you laugh, tug your heartstrings, and give you some solid music recommendations!"

Sweet and soulful love story
I really enjoyed this book! Very well written and well crafted story of finding the right love with the right person at the wrong time, and then finding their way back. Really liked the premise of the playlist and its role throughout the story, and that it was composed of music by predominantly queer musicians. Would recommend and I hope we see more of ths authors fresh voice!

A Great Read
This book brought out so many emotions! I laughed, cried, laughed again. My heart broke and was healed. The journey this book took me on! The unexpected twists!! The characters were easily relatable. Not because I’m a musician or a teacher. Lol But because I’m a human who has lived through heartbreak and healing. Highly recommend you pick this up!!
